AIV VET - First Time at AVMA was a Blast!

It was great to see all 7,000 attendees and 1,000 virtual attendees at AVMA Philadelphia this year.

This was our first year attending the show (sorry it took so long! We didn’t realize how amazing the event would be). And we already have 2023 in Denver laminated on our calendars.

There was a ton to do, and lots of new friends to catch up with.

We asked around the show to find everybody’s highlights, and had a few of our own to add to the list.

  • The keynote from Bertice Berry, PhD.
  • Meeting Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Terrence Ferguson who are helping inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals.
  • The presence of so many young and aspiring veterinary professionals, including almost 600 veterinary students and almost 100 veterinary technician students - about 10% of the entire show attendance.
  • The founding of The Coalition for Connected Veterinary Care, which will help veterinarians integrate telehealth into their practices in ways that strengthen relationships with their clients and improve patient care.
  • The food! One attendee who stopped by to visit us at booth #1338 said she’d eaten cheesesteak all 4 days she was in town.

There were dozens of valuable sessions. And if you missed any of them, you can still find them online to view at www.mcisemi.com/avma2022/.
