This one is for the young professionals ready to get paws-on practice.
Vet Set Go, the first and sole online platform for aspiring teen and tween veterinarians, is partnering with VCA to launch educational opportunities to help young people explore their veterinary passion. According to dvm360.com, “this partnership will help grow and nurture the future of veterinary medicine by educating prospective students of all ages.”
And it’s no secret that veterinarians are high in demand.
To help inspire and develop the next generation of veterinary professionals, we’re witnessing a collaboration that seeks to provide hands-on training and networking opportunities to kick off careers a lot earlier in the industry
What can you expect from the new partnership?
Launching later on in 2022, Vet Set Go and VCA will provide job shadowing opportunities, hands-on training, and education-based resources in the form of:
A country-wide shadowing program in which VCA hospitals invite aspiring veterinary professionals for daily direct experience.
An online academy that provides courses to set students up for safe and beneficial shadowing experiences.
Opportunities to score one of three scholarships to Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine’s Junior Vet Camp.
A volunteering app to help aspiring veterinarians find volunteer opportunities in their regions, along with mentorship opportunities.
With these diverse and abundant resources, Vet Set Go and VCA seek to encourage teens and tweens to pursue their passions for veterinary medicine at an earlier age.
These programs are specifically designed to be accessible to everybody, regardless of financial, geographic, or social barriers.
“It’s our job to make our profession more inclusive and accessible to all,"
– Timbrala Marshall, DVM, director of veterinary inclusion and diversity programs at VCA Animal Hospitals.

TESTIMONIALS
"I also wanted to heap praise on your repair techs. It's nice to get repairs that stay repaired after 6 months. I have stuff that was repaired 3 years ago that has never given me problems again. Other places just seem to patch it together and then it breaks again as soon as the warranty is up. Between horses enjoying knocking over IV poles, and dogs who enjoy chewing on things, our equipment is sometimes in pretty bad shape. Your techs take the time to check and fix all of the parts that might be damaged from this type of treatment, and I and the animals here appreciate it."

"My technicians really like your fluid warmer and feel that it keeps the patients a few degrees warmer versus not using it. After we trialed it they were begging for more fluid warmers so it must work."
